ABOUT US

The Thanet wind farm is located in the North Sea, approximately 11 km off the north east Kent coast.

The wind farm comprises 100 wind turbine generators, the offshore substation and associated transmission assets.

The offshore substation is connected onshore by two 26.2km subsea export cables. The two onshore cables at 2.4km length connect to the onshore substation at Richborough, near Ramsgate.

The OFTO will own and operate the transmission assets for 20 years.

OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES

EDS HV Limited

The shareholder has engaged EDS HV Limited who were founded in 1993 and have been servicing offshore renewables for over a decade.

EDS’s team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians will provide a full turnkey operations and maintenance solution for The Thanet offshore platforms, the onshore substation and grid connection at the 300MW Thanet.
